Position Overview:
Save The Children, a leading U.S. and international relief and
development Agency, making meaningful change in the lives of
children in need seek seeks candidates for the position of Field
Office Director (FOD). Will reside in Bamako, Mali and will be
responsible for the direction and coordination of SC programs in
Mali, Burkina Faso, and Guinea. Reporting to the Area Director,
The FOD is responsible for administration, fiscal management,
and grant management office; the direction, supervision, and
evaluation of staff; and the design, implementation, evaluation,
and analysis of program activities. The FOD is also responsible
for all donor services, including sponsorship. As the leader of
SC's program, the FOD represents the agency before host govern-
ment representatives, donors, partner agencies, local institu-
tions, the media, and Home Office.

Requirements:
A minimum of six years overseas experience, with a minimum of
one previous assignment within Save the Children/US in another
Field Office. Experience in managing and directing field opera-
tions, including supervisory experience. Strong interpersonal,
team building and representational skills. Masters degree in an
area related to the work of Save the Children preferred, along
with knowledge of local language and culture. Fluency in French
desired.
