Evaluation of performance of HIV/AIDS efforts in SSA

Dear Colleagues,

I write to ask for your advice for a literature review I am do-
ing looking at the performance of individual countries in sub-
Saharan Africa in tackling the HIV/AIDS epidemic. I am taking a
broad perspective though am specifically interested in the ac-
tions of governments.

There seems to be little published on this and I would be grate-
ful for any information on studies that have done such country
evaluations. The studies that I have found (e.g. the UNAIDS Best
Practice Collection) tend to focus on the successful countries
(Uganda/Senegal) only and not on the "failures".
