Seeds of Hope: Meeting the Challenges of HIV/AIDS in Ethiopia

You are cordially invited to an informal screening of two new
educational documentary films from the series, SEEDS of HOPE:
Meeting the Challenges of HIV/AIDS in Ethiopia

"Whose Children are They Now? AIDS Orphans in Ethiopia" gives
voice to AIDS orphans, and to caregivers of children who have
lost their parents in the epidemic. "From Risk to Action: Women
& HIV/AIDS in Ethiopia" profiles the courageous efforts of those
who recognize the connection between gender and HIV/AIDS and
have become leaders in improving the status of Ethiopian women.

This event is free of charge. Because Concentric Media is a non-
profit organization, we will be requesting donations to support
distribution of the films throughout Ethiopia, where they are
being used in healthcare trainings, community education pro-
grams, and advocacy efforts for the rights of those living with
HIV/AIDS.

Both films are 25 min. in length, and are in Amharic, with Eng-
lish narration and subtitles. After the screening, we will dis-
cuss the current status of HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention ef-
forts in Ethiopia, as well as resources for HIV testing and care
in the greater D.C. area.
