Salute for courageous humanitarian health services in Sudan
-----------------------------------------------------------

Dr. (Mrs.) Kehinde T Craig (nee Obileye), Class of 1978 Univer-
sity of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria and Fellow of the Association of
General and Private Medical Practitioners of Nigeria (FAGP), is
currently serving in a UNICEF-driven immunization campaign in
South Darfur, Sudan. She works tirelessly to save lives in the
midst of civil strife and hardship resulting from the current
political situation in that country. The immunization campaign
she participates in is directed at eradication of polio, elimi-
nation of measles, and overall consolidation of routine immuni-
zation programs in the region. Dr. Craig was assigned by the CDC
in Atlanta to work with the UNICEF program to provide technical
support for the country. Her tour continues until year-end. She
is recognized for positive push up in gratitude for her humani-
tarian work and courageous service to the people of war-torn Su-
dan; an area of Africa far from the comfort of her homeland and
loving family.
