Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) 
started working with private businesses in the field of HIV/AIDS 
prevention, treatment and care five years ago and has gained 
valuable experience from these partnerships. This analysis of 
HIV/AIDS workplace programs in Southern and Eastern Africa and 
seven case studies give a good overview of potentials and chal-
lenges in partnerships between private businesses and develop-
ment organizations.
