An Italian Primacy?
The Research on the causative agent of cholera and the Discovery
of Filippo Pacini (1854)

This lecture will focus on the history of the discovery of
Pacini, an Italian scientist, and on the reasons for which it
remained to level of intuition the Italian scientist not being
able to offer a laboratory evidence to demonstrate the relation-
ship between vibrios and cholera.
