To follow up on the Social Forum Post, here is what looks to be
a great event that I am eager to attend and hope you will con-
sider it also:
The 2005 Aspen Ideas Festival: Inspired thinking in an ideal
setting

The Aspen Institute and the Atlantic Monthly invite you to join
some of the world's most provocative thinkers and respected
leaders from diverse fields including government, and public
service, science and medicine, the arts, academia, business, the
media and more for five days of inspired discourse. The Aspen
Ideas Festival offers lectures, seminars, tutorials, group dis-
cussions, and informational conversation to promote a deep dia-
logue on the ideas that shape and change the world.

Early committed program participants include Peter Gomes, Toni
Morrison, Al Gore, Jim Lehrer, Mary Robinson, David Gergen, Jane
Goodall, Jeff Bezos, Michael Sandel, David Brooks, Beverly
