Request for Materials to train Journalists on Public Health
Journalism
-----------------------------------------------------------
Hello all,
This is to request for health related materials and publications
on health issues for a forthcoming training on public health
journalism for journalists in Northern Nigeria.
As you may be aware there has been a number of issues of public
health importance in the past couple of months ranging from po-
lio vaccination to vesico-vaginal fistula, maternal mortality
and morbidity, guinea worm, riverblindness, and infant mortal-
ity.
This training is to equip the participants, drawn from all the
states in Northern Nigeria, with requisite skills in reporting
public health issues thereby promoting and educating their audi-
ence (that is individuals and communities). In view of the im-
portance of the training we request for public health materials
including publications and CDs for the participants.
Perhaps you can provide us with materials on Polio, vesico-
vaginal fistula and other major diseases of public health impor-
tance. Twenty four (24) or more copies of each material would be
appreciated.
Kindly send the materials to:
