Forum 9, Mumbai, India, 12-16 September 2005

The Global Forum for Health Research is honoured to announce 
that its 2005 annual meeting, Forum 9, takes place in Mumbai, 
India, from 12 to 16 September at the invitation of the Ministry 
of Health and Family Welfare of India.
 
Under the theme of Poverty, Equity and Health Research, Forum 9 
will gather representatives of a broad range of constituencies 
working to promote and focus health research on problems 
particularly present in developing countries. The programme will 
examine research needs and gaps and policy options based on 
evidence. We are particularly highlighting research to reduce 
inequities in health through effective action on the social 
determinants of health.
 
A call for abstracts is open (deadline for submissions is 31 
March). For full details on submission of abstracts and
