RFI: Posting Health Statistics on Internet (2)
----------------------------------------------

As someone involved in comparing the performance of different
countries in order to suggest where policy leaders could focus
their efforts to make improvements, I generally find health sta-
tistics very helpful.

There is always a problem of how the data is collected, how up-
to-date it is and whether one is comparing apples with pears
even when undertaken by WHO. But country comparisons, when pre-
sented diagrammatically, always make an impact and stimulate
discussion as to the underlying reasons.

I would be interested to know what other sources of health data
comparison are available online apart from the WHO and those,
like the Office of Health Economics which require an annual fi-
nancial subscription to access.
