Dear Dr. Sharif,

I am encouraged by your post. I hope to have a chance to look at
the material you have prepared. I am very interested in the con-
cept of "National Health Accounts" but I am also of the opinion
that we are still missing "analytical accounts" or "management
accounts" that really help to determine what is cost effective
and what is not.

My background in accounting and engineering and technology, not
to mention economics and management, makes it very clear to me
that better decisions and more timely better decisions need
"management information" in addition to the rather aggregate in-
formation produced by "national accounts". To the extent that
you and your colleagues want to think through the management di-
mension of this I am very interested to help.
