Coverage highlights: 2nd Asia-Africa Summit, Indonesia

The two-day 2nd Asia-Africa Summit ended Saturday, April 23 in
Jarkata, Indonesia. President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono of Indo-
nesia and Thabo Mbeki of South Africa co-hosted the Summit,
which was attended by participating members from 89 countries.
Many multilateral, developmental, health, geo-political and eco-
nomic issues with wide ranging implications were raised at the
Summit. A Summit declaration was discussed and adopted by member
states in attendance.

Ms. Sangeetha Shyam, Datelinehealth-Africa (DLHA) Online Volun-
teer gratefully covered the Summit from Bandung, Indonesia.
