Learning Resource Center Toolkit
--------------------------------

Dear friends and colleagues,

I just found a very useful site for Information managers.

It is the Learning Resource Center Toolkit:
http://lrc.aiha.com/

It has a great section of training materials that includes Re-
source Guides, Computer Tools and Utilities, Internet Tools and
Utilities, Evidence-Based Practice, Health Information Search-
ing, Web Design and Development, and much more. In English and
Russian.

Among the resources there are:

Building information systems in health care - A reference guide
for health care decision-makers - This manual aims to introduce
the reader to the subject of medical informatics -- specifically
how to build information systems in various health care set-
tings. Although some parts of the manual present detailed knowl-
edge of specific applications tailored to technical specialists,
the overall purpose of this manual is to provide those involved
in the development of information systems with a framework that
will assist in the planning and design process.

A guide to Electronic Library - This guide provides information
on how to obtain access to a variety of full-text health and
medical journals, books, and other resources. The following
electronic library resources are included: HINARI, WHO Medical
Information Network; PubMed Central; Directory of Open Access
Journals; Free Medical Journals; Free Medical Books; HighWire
Press Free Online Full-text Articles; HighWire Press Free Access
to Developing Economies; BioMed Central; ScienceDirect; Scien-
