RFI: Competition among Schistosomiasis Vector Snails

I am doing some work on snails. Can anyone give me a clue if
there is competition for habitats between B. globosus and B.
pfeiffei? I did some scooping in a dam and river in the same
area. B. pfeifferi was more abundant in the dam whilst B. globo-
sus was more in the river. Can you please explain that distribu-
tion? Is it chance? Is it competition?
