You don't bite the hand that feeds (3)
--------------------------------------

I read the DFID with interest. There is a mushroom of NGOs in
Malawi - most of them for the course of HIV-AIDS. The benefit to
the victims is so small. The Executive Heads of these are in
competition to see who is driving the latest vehicle. I wish
there were more Malawians who would come up and hand papers on
how the donor money is being misused.

We are not really meat loving nation as you have put it. Vegeta-
ble preparation in Malawi is like:

* wash the vegetable
* put in water and some salt
* dip in the vegetable and boil
* add tomato (that is if you can manage to buy some).

Cooking oil is an expensive commodity in Malawi which most can-
not afford.

This is an everyday meal for most Malawians. Meat is scarce and
expensive that only a few can afford.
