RFI: Child with constant cough

Dear all,

I am requesting for information on a child's health care. I have
a friend who has a 7 year old daughter who is always coughing.
The mother died when she was about 2 years old. According to her
diary she wrote that she got tested and her blood was clean when
she was pregnant with the baby. But one day she started getting
sick while still pregnant, vomiting and all sorts. So when the
baby was born it now is a sickling.

She has problems with her eyes (jacaranda allergy), in winter
she will be coughing the whole time, though some times the
coughs are so intensive that she fails to sleep because of the
need to cough. Once in a while she will vomit after her meals.
All this time she will either be on antibiotics and a cough mix,
but it does not seem to work at all. The cough is only wearing
off now because it is getting hot but she coughs every morning.
She has been taken to specialists of all sorts and nothing seems
to be working. I suppose her stomach runs once in a while due to
the amount of medication that she has to be subjected to. Her
skin is also quite sensitive, she had not been using soap since
birth but started now to use health soaps that do not make her
skin itch.

Could this be spiritual? If not, is there anyone with advice on
what can be done to help this little girl? She is a very intel-
ligent little angel, came first at the end of her grade one ex-
ams, best student for the year. She could do better if she was
better too. Those who believe in God I believe this is time to
reflect on his promises.
