REGISTRATION DEADLINE EXTENDED!

COMBI Training for French speakers

I am writing you from the World Health Organization's Mediterra-
nean Centre for Vulnerability Reduction. You may be familiar
with the Communication-for-Behavioural-Impact (COMBI) programme,
which incorporates the many lessons of the past 50 years of
health education and communication in a behaviourally-focused,
people-cantered strategy.

An annual summer institute on COMBI has been conducted with New
York University for the past several years. We are now expanding
this training to French speakers in collaboration with the Tuni-
sian National Board for Family and Population.

 From 5 - 16 December 2005, an intensive course on the COMBI
methodology will be held for French speakers in Tunis, Tunisia
for participants from Ministries of Health, UN agencies, univer-
sities and NGOs. Full details on how to register for this course

Formation Francophone COMBI

Je vous écris du Centre Méditerranéen de l'Organisation Mondiale
de la Santé pour la Réduction de la Vulnérabilité (WMC). Vous
pouvez être familier avec le programme de la communication-pour-
un-impact-comportemental (COMBI) qui incorpore les nombreuses
leçons de ces 50 dernières années en matière d'éducation et de
communication sanitaire dans une stratégie qui cible une modifi-
cation du comportement, en situant l'être humain au centre des
préoccupations.

Pendant plusieurs années, un cours annuel d'été de formation
COMBI a été effectué avec la collaboration de l'Université de
New York. Nous sommes en train d'étendre cette formation au
niveau francophones en collaboration avec l'Office National de
la Famille et de la Population, Tunisie.

Une formation francophone intensive sur les différentes tech-
niques appliquées dans l'approche COMBI aura lieu du 5 au 16 dé-
cembre 2005, pour les participants des ministères de la santé,
des agences onusiennes, des universités et des organismes inter-
nationaux.
