Strengthening Health Systems to Fight HIV (3)

Even more shocking is the death due to starvations and malnutri-
tion. Why save low birth weight children if they will only be-
come drug addicts later on? Why prolong people's life, if they
are going to be abandoned, lonely and insecure; or otherwise a
burden on already overstretched budgets of middle class fami-
lies? Why improve health indicators if the only result is a low-
ering of the quality of life?
