Dear Wendy,

Thanks for correcting me. I stand corrected. I made a very gen-
eral statement, of the apathy of public health here, seeing the
garbage all around the streets of most cities in India.

I am not including or excluding any particular group. I only
mentioned, the rich, need not worry that much, as they have the
means to take care of themselves.

It does not mean all of them are not interested. Yes. You are
right. We have leading citizens and doctors, very much aware of
public health. But the Govt. is unable to cope with the pres-
sures mounting on urban cities due to mass exodus to cities from
rural areas and squatters on road side. This can pose a serious
danger of epidemics.
