Hi. I'm sorry to enter the discussion but I was in Ghana this
summer and USAID was investigating funding of Unite for Sight.
What happened with that?

I also heard from several people there that the conditions at
the site were not too good. Students had to pay their own way
for themselves and the required eyeglasses supplies and students
and a visiting ophthamologists had to provide their own funding
to buy supplies to keep the site running.

I regularly take students with me to a Mexico site and set-up
overseas experiences in other countries. I don't know what the
students do for other Unite for Sight country sites but I was
quite shocked by the lack of guidance provided to the students.

I'm sorry, but I sent out a warning to all of our students and
faculty several months ago.
