Publication of Global Health Watch 2005-2006 (2)
------------------------------------------------

Thanks Sandy for the post. I particularly like the following
statement:
"The real scandal, it argues, is that the world lacks neither
funds nor expertise to solve most of our health problems.
Rather, it lacks the moral commitment and political will to do
so."

I have been shouting this at the top of my voice in every possi-
ble forum, that God in his mercy has provided enough for every
living beings need and not greed!!! I would like to rephrase the
second sentence by adding to it transparency and accountability
as follows:
"....Rather, it lacks the moral commitment and political will to
make all transactions transparent and accountable!!"

Hardly 10 to 20% of the funding is directed towards achieving
the ultimate objective. The rest gets dissipated in various du-
bious ways, to help achieve the 10 to 20%!!

The only way, I think, all this can be changed is to ban cur-
rency circulation and have only one genuine account for every
individual and organization and make all transactions transpar-
ent on the web for anyone to see.

Then most leaders of most developing countries would not be di-
verting funds abroad or to benami accounts. The present form of
democracy followed in most countries of the world, is enemy num-
ber one, as it makes every politician to spend huge sums of
money o win elections.

Does anyone differ with me?
