The US concluded a Free Trade Agreement with Peru

This will have huge implications for health care in Peru, as the
deal most probably has "TRIPS-plus" intellectual property rules
that will affect access to affordable medicines and the realiza-
tion of the right to health in Peru.

As the text is not publicly available we do not yet know the
full extent of these "TRIPS-plus" rules.

The US is still negotiating FTAs with Ecuador and Colombia,
Thailand and the countries of the Southern African Customs Union
(Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa and Swaziland).
