Conference scams (3)

I almost fell victim this year. They guise under different no-
menclatures. Often they approach you by telling you that a young
girl (white in my own case) is interested in making friend with
you as an African and would be in Africa for a conference. If
you are the conference lover like me, you are interested. They
attempted me through a name: World Youth Movement and their con-
ference was purportedly on violence against children and pov-
erty. We exchanged mails until they asked me to pay up to 2,000
US$ to a hotel in Guinea Bissau. At that point, I wished them a
wonderful conference! Let's just be careful.
