The lecture focuses on epidemiology, transmission, agent genet-
ics, pathogenesis, laboratory diagnosis, differential diagnosis,
anti-microbial resistance, treatment and prevention of typhoid
fever. An overview on Typhoid and Paratyphoid fever in Nepal is
reported.
