RFI: TB audit tools
-------------------

Dear colleagues,

I am working on a TB practice and outcomes audit tool for use in
the South African mining industry. The final product will con-
sist of "modules" for things like:

Management support
Facilities guidelines training
Stock management and rotations
KAP of health workers
Users KAP
Laboratory use QA and reporting
Notifications including deaths
Autopsy case reviews and action taken
Register maintenance and accuracy
Register analysis and use
Register outcomes
Adherence to guidelines

I suspect there are many who have experience of developing such
tools and of their use. Much of the information is, however, not
published and not in the public domain. If you have information
or audit tools that you would be willing to share (with full ac-
knowledgement) I would be grateful. These can be sent either
electronically to mailto:brendan.gb@icon.co.za or posted to me
at
PO Box 59
Bergbron, South Africa 1712

The results will be available on the website of the Safety in
Mines Research Advisory Committee (SIMRAC) including full ac-
knowledgement of all who have assisted.

Regards,

Brendan Girdler-Brown
