Genomics for Development - The Life Sciences and Poverty Reduc-
tion

INNOGEN Annual Conference 2006
5th-6th September 2006
Regent?s College, London
The conference aims to address current questions around the role
of science and technology in providing solutions to end hunger,
disease and poverty. During two days of intense debate this con-
ference will consider the following themes:
? Rethinking agricultural science
? Globalisation, the life sciences and health
? Networks and partnerships
? Regulation
? Industrial capabilities and development
A number of eminent academics, policy makers and industry execu-
tives will address these themes during plenary sessions includ-
ing:
? Judith Wakhungu, Executive Director, African Centre for Tech-
nology Studies
? John Mugabe, Science and Technology Advisor for the New Part-
nership for Africa?s Development (NEPAD)
