Dear Colleagues,

To celebrate World Health Day 2006, SATELLIFE has prepared a
Special Edition filled with exciting personal stories and com-
mentary on improving developing country health systems. World
Health Day 2006 celebrates health workers worldwide and calls
for more attention to be paid to the challenges that hinder
their life-saving work. We hope that the articles presented in
our Special Edition contribute to your understanding of global
health in 2006. We encourage you to share this issue with your
colleagues.
