afrikafe Professional Development is designed to expose Africans
and others to professional opportunities and foster career de-
velopment. We invite public health and hospital management pro-
fessionals for a unique opportunity to meet with the recruiters
for the Ethiopian Hospital Management.
The initiative is a collaborative effort led by the Clinton
Foundation, Yale University School of Public Health and the Min-
ister of Health in Ethiopia to build hospital management capac-
ity in public hospitals in Ethiopia. The program seeks to re-
cruit nine senior fellows and 12 post-graduate fellows as part
of the Yale-Clinton Foundation Fellowship in International
Healthcare Management. The fellows will be assigned to specific
hospitals (two fellows per hospital generally) to work with and
mentor existing medical directors and senior staff to identify
and implement improvements in hospital management and quality of
care.
Fellowships are for one year and will be available in Addis as
well as several rural areas in Oromia, Amhara, Southern Nations,
and Tigray. The fellowship is July 2006 through June 2007, al-
though there is some flexibility in the dates.
Please come prepared with two copies of your resume, cover let-
ter and two professional references.
