Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

If you would like to donate to bed net purchases for malaria prevention

The malaria community, driven by Lance Laifer's indefatigable energy
(see http://www.commondreams.org/views05/1106-21.htm) is trying to raise
funds for bed net purchases in Africa. As a man increasingly in danger
of becoming fat, (and you know how vain I can be) I've decided to join
the fast for malaria on May 11th. If you feel like sponsoring me then
click on the link below. And for those of you who are firm DDT fans,
well congratulations, but Lance is doing a great job helping us on that
battle and these nets will save lives, so no making political points
here and not helping.

I also intend on rowing 15,000 metres (that is a long way to you
non-rowers) in an hour during that day and you can link your donation to
me hitting that target (again helping both my waistline and African
children).
