How effective are male condoms in protecting men? (2)
----------------------------------------------------

Dear Daud Simba,

This is a good topic for discussion - about condoms!!!
I think that is a biased thinking that a condom protects only the
woman!

According to the explanation given, yes, it sounds so. However, we need
to bear in mind that we are always told that a condom is not 100% safe!
May be the remaining percentage could be explained that way.

But my thinking about this is that I assume that a condom protects
direct contact of the female and male organs which are expected to have
'entrances' of fluid contact where the virus could be transmitted.
Therefore, by the time the secretions from the female get into contact
with the man through the perineum, then I think the man already has an
STD because it literally implies that the man either has wounds or
cuttings around that place hence not supposed to get any sexual contact
with anybody!

Otherwise, I still think the condom saves both male and female.

Thanks.
