Food for a genuine pro-poor thought (2)
--------------------------------------

This is an absolutely real thought. What is not clear is whether people and governments of the first world actually realize the enormity of poverty and poor people in the so called poor countries. $1 per day is just too modest; a great number of the rural poor in Africa can barely afford the equivalence of this in one week. People see pieces of meat or fish on their food only when the blue moon appears!

Please, don?t use their leaders to judge them. The leaders in most cases present tragic paradox of the situation and conditions of their people. Yes, they ride bogus cars that are only owned by governments and institutions in the first world and may even possess houses in such lands; they are only profiteers from the misery f millions of their own people. If humanity must get out of this embarrassment, the rich countries must be more focused and insist on the pro-poor nature of poverty reduction proposals.
