I don?t think poverty in Africa will be eliminated through external funding. If anything external support is there to augment on positive strategies locally developed and owned people of the respective country, not otherwise. Many developing countries have adopted ready-made poverty reduction strategies from the West. These strategies no not any plans and targets to save 80% of peasants from man-hoe used since the time of Adam and Eve. Yet these people are the ones who constitute more than 80% of the poor. Definitely, poverty cannot be reduced through any number of advocacy campaigns, workshops, seminar and research.
