I totally agree with Daudi Simba. Poverty cannot be alleviated just be giving external doles. It will be like giving a hungry man, a fish to eat for the day. Instead teach him fishing and he can live a life time happily.

So also poverty alleviation must be to create opportunities and employment of the local community, by the local community, for the local community.

Make total transparency and accountability mandatory, to alleviate poverty.
