Kris,

I agree with your premise but not your conclusion. Alleviating sickness and disease will do more for the people of Africa than any other single thing. When people are well and able to work and pursue daily chores, you have given him the strength to fish, and hunt, and provide for his family.

It is easier to hold a local official accountable than a regional one, and so on.
