Man positive, women negative - how? (2)
--------------------------------------

It?s interesting that this issue comes exactly today when I was having a discussion with a friend about such cases. We were talking specifically about:
1. The issue of contamination, whether contamination is via fluid or via blood. This is, whether contamination through sexual intercourse is via body fluids (semen, etc) or via the blood. Its sounds like an ignorant and basic question at this day in age, but
2. There are cases that we know of women who are positive but their male partners remain negative. I know of one case like that, where all tests proving that the male is negative, yet his wife and child are positive (receiving ARV treatment for more than 8 years now). They have had normal sexual intercourse for sometime until advised about issues of recontamination. My friend knows of another male who is still alive and tested negative, yet his wife died 8 years ago of AIDS.

Before we begin to spread the news ; - ) is it possible to have a scientific explanation for it?
