Important question regarding HIV tranmission? (7)

Just as a way to try and  eliminate other factors that may have contributed to the child's HIV status, is it possible to rule out that the child was not infected by the virus in the hospital. I find the case of mother negative and child positive very tricky and before delving into deep science, perhaps we need to hear of such cases elsewhere or rule out that the infection may have happened in the hospital at delivery.
