Publicise your Toronto AIDS Conference sessions/activities!

Are you an African civil society group organising a panel session/Global Village activity/rally/skills-building workshop etc during the International AIDS Conference holding in Toronto, Canada, August 13-18 2006?

We want to hear from you! 

At the XVI International AIDS Conference in Toronto next month, several  NGOs and community-based organisations who are working very hard in their responses to HIV/AIDS in communities across Africa, will get an opportunity to showcase their works, studies, presentations, workshops, exhibitions etc as part of the conference programme. 

African NGOs working on HIV/AIDS advocacy issues - under the platform of the African Civil Society Coalition on HIV and AIDS - are planning to demonstrate traditional African solidarity and promote intra-regional knowledge-sharing and learning, by encouraging African participants to attend conference sessions and activities featuring African speakers or convened by African organisations.

So if you or your organisation or your partner organisations in Africa are involved in an oral or poster presentation, skills-building workshop, Global Village activity, exhibitions, rally etc, please send us the details in the format below:
1. Name of organisation and location you are based in Africa
2. Type of activity you are organising or involved in at the AIDS conference
3. Venue, date and time of activity
4. Topic or title of activity
5. Email or contact telephone of the lead presenter/organiser

Pls send in your completed information to mailto:ogechi@nigeria-aids.org by Friday July 21st. 

We will compile all the activities and share widely on this list and other listservs, and also make them available widely to African organisations on-site at the AIDS conference in Toronto.
