Eliminating world poverty: making governance work forthe poor (31)
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Jeff,

I am amazed at your premise and conclusions. If I am to understand you correctly we must feel ashamed at personal wealth because someone else doesn't have. We are evil because we have money and eat too much therefore we might have high cholesterol or diabetes therefore we are adding to the global disease problem?

The real heart of the matter finally made itself known when you referred to the U S as the squanderer of wealth with cars, drugs etc. I guess I don't know what to say, maybe we (US) should give all our wealth to you and your kind so that you can squander it, huh? Redistribution of wealth is an old socialist agenda that I don't happen to agree with Jeff.

I would only close by saying that what we (the citizenry of the US) ask our government to only leave a climate suitable for industry(yes we are industrious people) thereby allowing ourselves the opportunity to enrich ourselves and our families. I will not apologize for working hard and attaining a small measure of success. It does not make us evil or even selfish. America donates more than anyone else on the planet and we very seldom even get a thank you for it. More often than not we are put down by people who hate us and would like nothing better than to see the US laid to waste.

I wonder who would donate to the unfortunate in the world then. Maybe Iran or China.

Cheers

Craig
