Eliminating world poverty: making governance work forthe poor (35)
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Opps, those were my unfinished thoughts, but just to finish up...
Contemporary Africa is therefore caught up in a dilemma: unable to discredit her own value, and yet having no bridge to integrate her indigenous matrix into the western or international matrix. Consequently, we have two parallel worldviews and matrix operating simultaneously and often at logger heads, customary law and land tenure vis a vis the common property law. What is lauded in the indigenous matrix may very well be faux pas in the Western/international one and vice versa. To quote from the holy writ: "A double minded man, unstable in all his ways." James 1:8.
Now that dichotomy is what we should take by the horns, in order to salvage anything out of Africa. Like you said, it is a rich continent with really great potential and I believe we can make it.
