Eliminating world poverty: making governance work for the poor (39)
------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Shepard,

Capitalism rewards those that follow a desire to excel and succeed. When you talk about have's and have nots, those who work hard and do not indulge in wasteful habits, attain a education, will succeed, those who show little or no ambition work for minimum wage. Like it or not there are more people achieving than ever before. Capitalism works, unless one wants a socialist utopia that I hear some advocating for the reasons I have already given. Won't work and never has for reasons already given.

As far as your vote comments, voting to me is a private matter and must be kept simple. The "spoilt" comment is a fact but it is a small amount. It is a side effect of having people vote that neither understand our culture and language or how our system of government works. Yet they are allowed to vote without this very important knowledge. Unfortunately for the tax payers these are the one's that usually vote for as many "freebies" as possible. If we are not careful we will soon have the same troubles that plague the French and other societies that give away too much and expect someone to pay other than themselves.

Which brings me to my last point, I am weary of this site, we all sit around and knit pick each other instead of trying to help the people of Africa. I think I will start looking for other ways of spending my valuable time.

Craig
