Health leaders from developing countries commit to launch Health Systems Action Network (3)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Who are these leaders? Why didn't they do it earlier? Bringing out the local level leaderships through right launching based activities is the best, let the people to decide their priorities and those must be different from different places, different countries. Also the people should be given scope to raise their voices and let then to exercises their negotiating, bargaining and demanding skills. Do these leaders evolved through this grassroots oriented process, or the selected people by the "authorities"?

I think Manjula, the real leaders are already engaged in their relentless struggles along with their community fellows, now an issue based consensus can be developed among them for specific and prioritized issues along with common/suitable strategies achieved through piloting and fixing the role models. If it is the fact, then I think it will yield some results, but if it is otherwise something to increase the ever bulging bulk of the platforms and liberal deployment of the northern consultants, it will increase already intolerable numbers of "action" based networks, it will have nothing to do with a real welfare people oriented and participatory community based sustainable program.

I am sorry, if I hurt anybody, but the fact in this part of the globe is already revealed.

Sincerely
