Food for a thought whose time has come (9)

Before we can discuss "freedom" we need to define the word.
Here's my definition:

"Never needing to ask permission before you acct. You are your
own authority. Slaves and children need permission, not
responsible adults."

This means that you may do anything you want. Just be prepared
to pay the consequences when you violate another's freedom. This
is the basic philosophy around the founding of the USA. Sadly it
has been eroded to the point it is no longer recognizable in the
US. But, this basic philosophy was what made the USA a major
world power in a relatively short time.
