Dear Christine,

I would want to welcome Dr Chan aboard, the challenges and issues to address are the usual humanity has faced for sometime. It is my hope as person living with HIV she will live by her word and deliver as she has promised.

People living with HIV and those in difficult circumstances need life just like everyone else, it my hope that her plans and strategy will readdress the gender imbalances that continue to exist in our communities. Our women and children have been a subject of so much talk with little or no change, they continue to die in Africa and else where and we continue to witness horrific abuses.

WHO under the guidance of a diligent person will insist on scaling up best practices to save humanity. Truly she will be judged by the organization's impact on the people of the developing nations and in particular women. We urge your staff, to be as cooperative, prepared as much as communities have been for her vision and that of the communities to be achieved to save human kind.
