Family Health International (FHI) is dedicated to improving lives, knowledge, and understanding worldwide through a highly diversified program of research, education, and services in HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment, reproductive health, and infectious diseases. We are seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:
Contracts Compliance Specialist (Arlington, VA)
The Contracts Compliance Specialist will coordinate overall award compliance and develop and implement systems to provide sound guidance and training on issues relating donor rules and regulations as well as applicable FHI policy. Main responsibilities include: Circulating information on needed approvals and waivers contained in FHI awards, providing templates for and assisting the Contracts Administrator with making the appropriate requests for donor approvals; Reviewing sub-agreement and subcontracting implementation activities and contractual arrangements such as consultancies; Monitoring closeout and assisting with complex compliance issues and follow-up; Identifying education and training opportunities for CO staff around C&G compliance issues; and Performing other duties as assigned. MS/MA/MBA and 3-5 years relevant experience in a business setting, 2 of which must be in USAID grants and contract administration; or BS/BA in Business Administration, Accounting or related field and 5-7 years relevant experience in a business setting, 3 of which must be in USAID grants and contract administration. Knowledge of a foreign language is desirable
Technical Advisor, Strategic Information (Arlington, VA)
Provide leadership in the day to day operations of data processing, in-depth data analysis, including be-variate and multi-variate, regressions analysis for article writing, biostatistics, proposal development, dissemination, advocacy, program design and improvement and presentations to various audiences. BS/BA and 9-11 years experience; or MS/MA/MPH and 7-9 years experience; or PhD, MD or similar degree with 5-7 years experience. Relevant experience must be in HIV/AIDS or reproductive health with international development programs and with proven strong data management and robust data analysis experience and skills. Overseas experience is required. In addition, must have at least 5 professional publications in respected journals or other fora.
Senior Technical Officer, Strategic Information (Arlington, VA)
To provide technical leadership in Strategic Information (SI) including Program Monitoring and Evaluation, Targeted Evaluation design, implementation, QA/QI tools design, surveillance (behavioral and biological surveillance design and implementation) for FHI wide country offices. BS/BA in public health or related field and 7-9 years experience; or MS/MA/MPH in public health or related field and 5-7 years experience; or PhD, MD or similar degree with 3-5 years experience. Experience must be in HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases or reproductive health with international development programs. Overseas field experience required.
Vice President, Technical Support (Arlington, VA)
Provides technical leadership and oversight for the technical strategies and activities of FHI's Public Health Programs. Manages the Technical Support Department. Works closely and coordinates with the Vice President, Program Management for Public Health Programs and other senior FHI staff in Research. MD or PhD, with public health degree or equivalent experience in public health and 11-13 years of professional experience; or Master's degree in relevant discipline and 13-15 years of professional health experience. Experience includes seven years specialized experience in HIV/AIDS and/or infectious diseases programs in developing country settings plus 8 years management experience in public health programs. Experience must reflect the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed above.
Director, Shared Services, Asia Pacific Region (Bangkok, Thailand)
Performs at a senior leadership level in the Asia/Pacific region in the lead business management role responsible for direction of Shared Services functions of accounting and finance, contracts and grants management, human resources, information technology, general administration, and regulatory / quality assurance in support of operations and service objectives of the region. Working under technical supervision of Headquarters Global Shared Services (GSS) management, this position (and shared services resources located within the regional hub office) provides technical coordination and support to the same functions in country and field offices within the operations region. BS/BA Business Management or related field, and 11-13 years relevant management and supervisory experience in highly relevant international organizations and duties; or MS/MA/MBA in Business Management related field, and 9 - 11 years relevant experience; or PhD or similar degree with 7 - 11 years relevant experience. Local applicant preferred.
