The preliminary program for the Bethune Round Table 2007 has been posted. You can  access it here along with other information about the conference at:

The Bethune Roundtable is the only Canadian Conference dedicated to the exploration and  advancement of surgical care in the developing world!  It's held in Toronto Canada,  hosted by the University of Toronto.

This years' theme on technology in surgery encompasses high and low technology approaches to: 
      -Technology and Clinical Practice 
      -Technology and Education 
      -Technological Change and Challenge 
 
Join experts from Canada and around the world to discuss the challenges of providing  surgical care to those in greatest need!

A Workshop on Telehealth and Technology in International Surgery will be held on :

1) To become familiar with telehealth equipment used for teaching surgery
2) To gain practical experience in interactive teaching over telehealth, including  teaching procedures
3) To gain familiarity with Web 2.0 tools (wiki, networking sites) for surgical teaching
