You would have to consider the long-term health effects of the use of DDT that I am not sure is well researched. I am a strong advocate of primary preventive measures - reduce the spread of malaria underpinned by strong joined-up government policies of social and economic benefits. Tackling the natural causes is guaranteed to be more effective - more interestingly, its a sustainable option.
