MSF new report on Health worker shortage in Southern Africa (6)
--------------------------------------------------------------

I don't think its an issue of working in Southern Africa we need to look at but commitment from Southern African Government to ensure there is a salary to enable you to have a decent live livelihood while working.

Most Health workers are experiencing a burn out because they are poorly remunerated and African governments seem not to want to invest more money in Health care and putting in place competitive salaries.

I for one know very well that Nurses and Doctors overseas like you would have loved to work back home but , the question you need to ask is , will you be able to live sustainably under those circumstances where there is no proper infrastructure in place etc.

I think we need to put more pressure to our governments to invest in making the workplace safe, and putting in place infrastructure and a salary that will enable them sisters and brothers to love working closer home and even get non-SADC experts love to work in Southern Africa
