I bring to your attention a innovative culturally-sensitive and interactive educational approach to adolescent sexual health and AIDS prevention developed in Israel. I am in charge of this program in boarding schools  with a very varied group of pupils, among them immigrants from Ethiopia and the former Soviet Republics. The Aharon Ofri International Training Center of "MASHAV",is offering a comprehensive workshop on: "Sexual Health and AIDS Prevention for Adolescents" on 12.11.2007-6.12.2007

The unique culture-sensitive educational approach to Sexual Health and AIDS Prevention for adolescents offered in this workshop seeks to attain some of the Millennium Development Goals set by UNAIDS for the year 2015. It is based on innovative, interactive tools for HIV prevention as well as for strengthening self-esteem, health and awareness among youth (especially females), thus setting the foundations for their own personal empowerment. These tasks are based on long-term partnerships between experts and professional institutions from Israel and Africa. 

The workshop will include biological, socio-cultural and behavioral issues related to adolescent sexuality and sexual health, as well as tools for culturally-sensitive program development.

The course is intended for senior professionals of governmental institutions and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), who actively lead educational projects related Sexual Health and HIV prevention among adolescents in Africa.
