Pathology Volunteer Opportunities
Pathologists Overseas is a nonprofit organization dedicated to introduce or improve pathology and laboratory services in developing countries. The organization is initiating a project at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi, Ghana, in 2008. Volunteer pathologists, with some certification, are needed to staff the histopathology laboratory and to train two local physicians as surgical pathologists. Assignments are for one-month periods, throughout the year. Local housing is provided. Volunteers are responsible for air travel and local living expenses.
Anyone interested in participating in this project should contact Dr. Thomas Coppin for more information at: coppin_thomas@hotmail.com Tel. 801-295-7432
