Behold the heavy hand of oppression!
Does anybody deserve this? Shall the world stand and watch in mere disgust as these events unfold in Kenya? Shall we not act now and avoid further disaster? Forever shall we be held accountable for all the lives lost, and continue to be lost if we just stand and watch these atrocities against a people go unabated. The people in Kisumu need help now!
This is my appeal to everyone that reads this and other reports of suffering, neglect and oppression meted on people who expressed their democratic right. Let us all stand in support of the sanctity of human rights if democracy is far fetched. I cry today for my family, who are in Kisumu, my colleagues who initiated this string, my friends and their families in the plundered city of Kisumu. Please hear the cries of the starving and diseased children if you will ignore their parents.
This should not be allowed in 2008 - not in this World. The illegitimate government of Mr. Mwai Kibaki says they do not need international mediation - let the people suffer instead? They say that only 3% of the population is affected - someone needs to get out a little more. I am not in the country at the moment, but I am more in touch with the situation on the ground than selfish politicians who would much rather observe matters from their comfortable air conditioned living rooms. Kenyans are dying - everywhere!
Let us all do the responsible thing and appeal for help for the Kenyan people.
